Life is an adventure. Try something new.
Welcome
My name is mike watson and I am an indie writer, geologist and surveyor. I love the outdoors.
As you can see from the headings above, the site is multi-purpose. As an independent writer I will offer my self-published adventure novels and short stories. The series I am currently working on begins with its setting in Durango, Colorado during the 1950's. My 70,000 word debut adventure/thriller novel, The Nestorian Alliance: A Jack Trader Adventure, is now available as an ebook on Amazon.com, B&N, and Smashwords and on Amazon as a paperback. A brief description is on the following page. The draft of the second book in the series is complete, but has not received its final revision. It is also the intent of this site to share with you about places my wife and I have been, perhaps remind you of a memorable place you've traveled to (hopefully in a good way) or help prepare you for a similar trip and to ask you to share with us those places you would recommend for us and others to go (keep in mind, at least in our case, we are usually looking for a place that is budget friendly). I invite you to leave comments on either the blog or comment page.
I will also be sharing photographs of a few of the places we've traveled to. These will include Niagara Falls, Cozumel, the hot air balloon festival at Albuquerque, the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde... I would list more, but I'd like to leave some surprises. As we go to new places, we'll share those pictures and experiences too. That includes our first-timers cruise we took in November. Through the site blog we would like to hear about your trips, whether it was for a weekend or a week. There are still a lot of places that are on our wish list.
Since this site is constantly changing, you should find something different and hopefully a little more informative each time you stop by. The photos on the travel pages will periodically be changed. The current photos are from our trips to Niagara Falls, Cozumel, and the Mesa Verde area. I highly recommend these locations. Beautiful scenery. You won't be disappointed.
I'm glad you decided to stop by.
Thanks,
mike
